Summer is coming to an end...

I only have 2 weeks left of my co-op and its a really weird feeling for me. I'm excited about having a bit more free time during the day and being able to sleep in some days, but i'm going to really miss not having anything to do at night or on the weekends, and i'm going to miss a lot of the people i work with. That has been the best aspect of this job, the people I met. I have met a few people that I hope will be in my life for a very long time.

I've been down the shore for the past few weekends. Over Labor Day weekend a bunch of friends and myself rented a condo in Wildwood and that was a blast. This past weekend I took my puppy to Brigantine. That was an interesting experience, she is scared of rain, loves to take baths and loves running through sprinklers and the Drexel fountain...but it petrified of the ocean. At first she ran right in, and then changed her mind for the next few hours, as soon as a wave came in she was running in the opposite direction. About an hour before we were getting ready to leave she jumped in the water again with no hesitation. Here is the little monster:

So I moved into a new apartment this weekend and it has been really rough for me. I moved away from my best friend because my apartment building changed its pet policy and there was no way I could ever imagine giving away Missy. So now I'm in a one bedroom apartment with my dog and too many cockroaches. Apparently the last tenants were slobs...and packed at least 4 people in a 1 bedroom apartment. All of this leads to many many headaches for Stephanie. But I will be fine. I am always fine, and even if I am not, I put up a front so no one knows that there is something bothering me. I've been told that this is something I have to work on, but its working out just fine for me.

Until next time...

Roxette - Listen to Your Heart

I know theres something in the wake of your smile.
I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yea.
Youve built a love but that love falls apart.
Your little piece of heaven turns too dark.

Listen to your heart
When hes calling for you.
Listen to your heart
Theres nothing else you can do.
I dont know where youre going
And I dont know why,
But listen to your heart
Before you tell him goodbye.

Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile.
The precious moments are all lost in the tide, yea.
Theyre swept away and nothing is what is seems,
The feeling of belonging to your dreams.

And there are voices
That want to be heard.
So much to mention
But you cant find the words.
The scent of magic,
The beauty thats been
When love was wilder than the wind.

just a song I really like

one of my friends introduced me to the song "Everytime" by A Simple Plan and I really like it so I'm posting the lyrics.

It was three AM when you woke me up
And we jumped in the car and drove as far as we could go
Just to get away
We talked about our lives
Until the sun came up
And now I'm thinking about
How I wish I could go back
Just for one more day
One more day with you

Everytime I see your face
Everytime you look my way
It's like it all falls into place
Everything feels right
Ever since you walked away
You left my life in disarray
All I want is one more day
It's all I need: one more day with you

When the car broke down
We just kept walkin along
Til we hit this town
There was nothing there at all
But that was all okay
We spent all our money on stupid things
But if I looked back now, I'd probably give it all away
Just for one more day
One more day with you

Everytime I see your face
Everytime you look my way
It's like it all falls into place
Everything feels right
But ever since you walked away
You left my life in disarray
All I want is one more day
It's all I need: one more day with you

Now I'm sittin here, like we used to do
I think about my life and how now there's nothing I won't do
Just for one more day
One more day with you

Everytime I see your face
Everytime you look my way
It's like it all falls into place
Everything feels right (Everything feels right)
Everytime I hear your name
Everytime I feel the same
It's like it all falls into place
Everything feels right

You walked away
Just one more day
It's all I need, just one more day with you

hello again

I felt it was time for another blog although there is nothing worth noting going on in my life at the moment. I'm going home this weekend because my sister, niece and nephew from North Carolina are up visiting and I haven't seen them in months. I'm also bringing my new puppy home to meet my dog at home. That should be interesting because my dog at home doesn't like other dogs so much and my puppy loves other dogs. So yeah, interesting to say the least.

I'm so tired and worn down I feel like even if I napped for a year and a half I would still be exhausted by the time I woke up.

I spent all of my Wednesday night in the doctor's office with one of my friends who broke his foot. I've never broken a bone before and after looking at his foot, I don't think I ever want to.

One of my friends tried to throw one of my other friends (and fellow DWC) through my kitchen wall the other night....now there is a large dent in my wall and its unfortunate. I guess I should look into getting it fixed.

I'm still waiting on pictures from the ice cream socials, the boys who have them are really really slow to get them to me. As a consolation here is a picture of my friend Joanna and myself.

First Week of Orientation

This past Monday night I attended my first orientation since my own so many years ago and it was a lot of fun! The ice ream social held by the DWC was def the highlight, there are a lot of fun people, free ice cream and great music. I'm really looking forward to the next one on Thursday.

I'm currently hating the weather, I have a very limited temperature comfort zone, and this heat and humidity falls way outside of that range. As much as I hate to say it (because I'm petrified of thunderstorms) we need a good storm to clear this out of the area.

I'm really excited for Friday, not only is it the beginning of the weekend but my friend's band is playing at World Cafe Live and tickets are only $6. He is the most amazing guitarist I have ever heard in my life but I've never heard his band play so it should be a good time.

I like putting pictures in each of my blogs but I don't have any new ones this week, sorry all, next time there will be at least one new one!

Happy Monday all! Hope everyone's weekend was as good as mine. My cousin got married on Friday and then I bummed around all day Saturday and Sunday.

I wasn't really expecting the wedding to be enjoyable but it ended up being a really great time and i met a really cute boy, so thats always a plus! I feel so old, my cousin just got married and my brother just got his license today, I'm all grown up!

On Saturday and Sunday I was a complete waste of air, I sat on my couch and watched the Discovery Channel.

I have decided that now is the time to discuss my hatred of self-flushing public toilets. I assume this isn't as big of a problem for gentlemen as it is for ladies, but even the slightest movement to, oh I don't know, grab some toilet paper maybe, triggers the flushing mechanism. Its annoying and unnecessary.

So I'm not really sure what I'll be up to for the 4th of July, I know there are fireworks by the art museum so I was thinking about heading over in that direction and watching but I'm really not sure.

This time I'll leave you with a picture from my cousin's wedding, have a fantastical week!

Hello hello!

Hello and welcome to my blog! Let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Stephanie, I'm a third/fourth year business student (exactly which year i am is open for interpretation, I always say I'm a third year but I was told yesterday that you advance in the summer, so that would make me a fourth year and therefore really old...) concentrating in marketing and international business. I'm from Hillsborough, NJ which is a large farm town in North Jersey. I'm on my second co-op right now with Drexel's Undergraduate Admissions office. My first co-op was in Center City for a small pharmaceutical sales recruiting firm.

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things since my vacation last week, I went to Disney World!! Let me tell you, that is not just a place for kids, I went down with a few friends, my family and a friends family (in all there were 34 of us) and we all had a blast! Its hard to be stuck behind a desk for 8 hours a day when all last week I was wandering around Florida going on rides and working on my tan. But I guess thats what makes vacations so good, the fact that they end. If they lasted forever then you would have nothing to look forward to....or something like that haha.

Today I'll leave you all with a picture of me and a few friends from Disney World, I'm the one in the blue, second from the right.
